The adult psychiatry area in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is provided in Helsingborg. We offer specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with severe mental health issues. The catchment area consists of ten municipalities in northwestern Skåne, with which we have a good collaboration through cooperation meetings and care planning.

Department 56 is a general psychiatric emergency care unit for inpatient care and an educational and developmental department aimed at patients over 18 years old. Here, we care for patients with conditions and illnesses across the entire psychiatric diagnostic spectrum. We also have a special assignment for specialized eating disorder treatment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist physician with us, you will primarily work on diagnosing, assessing, and treating patients based on current research and established best practices. You will often encounter complex and exciting care processes where your expertise provides significant opportunities to make a difference for the patient.

The department's work is based on interdisciplinary teams, where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other. Here, physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and unit managers work together. Together, we ensure that patients receive the treatment and support they need to live as independently and functionally as possible, based on their own circumstances and needs.

The operation is classified as university hospital care, which means we actively invest in both research and education. Thus, we are a psychiatric educational and developmental department that receives several students to learn from, with, and about each other. You have an educational responsibility and are expected to contribute to supervision.

As a physician with us, you will have significant opportunities to develop both the department and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at a minimum corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as physicians in training and as co- or primary supervisors of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
